Coffee of The Day for this Christmas morning is Kopi O Ais from Pelita Nasi Kandar. It’s black local coffee (the “O” means without milk), served cold with ice cubes and usually too much sugar. The pink thing you see is a plastic spoon.

Today’s Coffee of The Day is Pappa Cham from Pappa Rich. The Cham (coffee + tea + milk) here is a bit more tea than coffee. Great pick me up, ideal for a hot day.

I’m starting a new category on Coffee Nova called Community.  Coffee is such a global phenomenon, people drink (and eat) it anywhere from Alaska to Zanzibar. Community will be snippets of news and info about how coffee affects people’s lives, about stories of cafes and coffeehouses, and anything else that fits.

Today’s coffee of the day is from McDonald’s. They only have one type of coffee, and it’s nothing spectacular.  However, there is one near my house with a 24 hours drive through.
