I often get confused about all the milky concoctions that pretend to be coffee drinks. For example, what exactly is the difference between cafe latte and a cappuccino? Lokesh Dhakar claims to be new to the world of “fancy coffee drinks”. He’s made a very useful illustrated guide to coffee drinks. Well, it turns out that the right cup does exist to help you make the perfect cup of coffee. These mugs from MyCuppa in the UK have an ingenious twist. Inside the rim of each cup has coloured guides to ensure the proper ratio of coffee to milk. So you get just the right ingredients, and the right colour every time.

The danger of caffeine overdose

I love my coffee, but I was never really aware of caffeine overdose until I read a news story about it yesterday. There’s a limit to how much caffeine you can consume. For one teenager in Northern Ireland, the limit was seven double espressos. 17 year old Jasmine Willis thought that the espressos were single shots, but even 5 espressos seem high to me.
